Ok, so finally have a screenshot that shows the current look of my computer. Just got a new GTK theme and Metacity theme, and found out how to edit the frame to make it always transparent. The transparency was pretty much the only thing I missed from Windows, and now I have it in Linux. And the progress bars from the GTK theme are animated, which is a nice touch.
Used thewidgetfactory and Pidgin on the upper screenshot to show off all the widgets and the Metacity theme. The bottom one shows of the desktop wallpaper I'm currently using, and a few folder icons. Using the desktop for icons a lot less than I used to ever since I started using a program called Do. Check it out if you have the time. Also, the dock at the bottom is Docky.
Going back to the icons, I tried to mix in a few of the new monochromatic icons for the new version of Ubuntu in the system tray. Looks pretty good to me, but I'll have to get the rest of them once I've upgraded to Ubuntu Lucid.
