First of all, a disclaimer..
I do not own, or claim to own, DNAngel or any of the characters, including Dark Mousey. Both are the intelectual property of Yukiru Sugisaki先生. I guess I should also say that Wiz is also her character, as this is really a drawing of Wiz while he is transformed to look like Dark... (kinda complicted, read vol. 10)

I originally drew this on paper for a project in Japanese 1 or 2 (probably 1, but I don't remeber which...) Later, I scanned it with the intention of coloring it on the computer. I ended up digitizing it in photoshop using the pen tool first, because it got so grainy from my scanner and whatnot...

I never completely finished coloring this, hence the work-in-progress distiction, but I wanted to upload it because it seemed like a lot of people wanted to see my digital stuff. Plus, I figure it's pretty good considering that I colored it using only gradients.

Personally, I think that the skin tone is a little too orange-y, and perhaps I will fix in the future if I ever get around to making a finished version of this. Seeing as how long I've had it already and how long it's been since I've worked on it, that's not very likely. Anyway, if anyone has suggesions on how to make the skin tone better (ie, hex codes for colors, sites with swatches, coloring techniques) please don't hestate to tell me.

The hair is actually more than just a gradient, now that I think about it, as it consists of multiple layers blended together.

Other crititicism is also appreciated ^_^
I really want to get better with digital art because I'll probably be using if I really go into the field of game design.



Overall this was mostly a test of getting used to the pen tool, using gradients, and using layers. So please keep that in mind. This pose is actually also pretty much the property of Yukiru Sugisaki, as I VERY HEAVILY relied on DNAngel vol. 10 to draw this. Also, I have another DNAngel art peice that I'll hopefully upload later, a picture of Argentine that was done COMPLETELY on the computer, no tracing at all, but still looking at DNAngel vol. 10 (My favorite art reference for anime/manga style art as of now XD)
